The Chittenden trail system has received about 18 “of heavy wet snow in the higher elevations, in the lower elevations lesser amounts, about 6 to 8 “depending where you are. At this point the trails are sled packed in some areas as quite a few riders were out yesterday. There is still no real base and water bars, rocks, some standing water and other obstacles are around so if you choose to ride do so with caution, early season conditions prevail. Paul & Gwen are out grooming. It will take some time to get around the entire area. As the colder temps arrive the conditions should improve as we now have some decent snow to work with . Looks like winter is kicking in finally .:)
