It is with great disappointment that we write this notice. Recently the Mountain Top Resort has had multiple occasions of disrespectful snowmobilers. From belligerent riders upset and pulling the fire alarm because they were refused service for being drunk. To riders driving by and purposely ignoring the maintenance man, who was blocking the resort access for a private ceremony. They also had a group unload their trailer at mountain top and drive up the hill on the private xc-skiing tails. They were rude and aggressive with staff who were trying to explain that they were on private property and not a VAST trail.

Riding to Mountain Top Resort is a privilege that can be so quickly taken away. Quite a bit of our trail system runs through their property that they give us permission to use. The trail that runs up to the inn is not and can be open or closed at anytime if they want. Also their parking lot is not a public place to unload your sleds. Mountain Top Resort is a gorgeous property that is so special to be able to access via snowmobile. But Keep in mind snowmobilers are not what keeps them in business. It is 100% to our benefit to have this location available.

We know these riders do not represent the entire snowmobile community but they can easily ruin it for all of us. So we as snowmobilers need to make it clear that none of us will accept the actions of these disrespectful riders. Please share the knowledge with your fellow riders of the importance of trails on private property.

Please respect our landowners. Without them there would be no trails to ride!!
