Trail Report March 8, 2025

After inspection on foot yesterday it became obvious to me that riding in Chittenden was not that great however there are a few folks out riding . The rain and the following freeze up has created mostly rock hard surface conditions with little or no cooling available. The coverage is generally still decent just too firm to provide any real cooling along with sections of boiler plate ice that doesn’t look particularly good at the moment . With some warmer temperatures to soften things up it should become cautiously ride able in coming days. The trails are open however I ask you to refer to the trail conditions and closure policy document located in the bylaws section of the website . The 10 day forecast looks like perhaps a couple days of spring type conditions before it’s done unless we get more snow which is always a possibility.
