In case any of you were wondering how Chittenden made out after the thaw…. It could have been worse,there is still a fair amount of base that was left intact and add a few inches of heavy wet snow today, things are on the mend. We still need another significant snowfall to make it decent.

The trails in Chittenden remain open, as a mater of fact we had a nice group of club members that headed over to the Swiss Farm for breakfast this AM. Anyways ,it is holding up fairly well considering we are in the middle of a January thaw. Soft snow, emerging bare spots, exposed rocks here …

The Chittenden trails are holding up nicely all things considered. At the moment the main routes are pretty decent . However the warm air is moving in and light freezing rain . Personally I am not planning on riding tomorrow. If you do be aware of soft snow that is starting to erode in places. …

Once again Evan and crew have outdone themselves, Arlyn would be very proud of them. The main trails are in super flat condition .The temps up in the Chittenden / Pittsfield trails stayed around freezing all day and it was 18 on Blood Root about 5:00 PM . Needless to say tomorrow should be super, …

WOW. Just headed out for a short ride and low and behold Evan and Lin Bovey have really flattened the trails incredibly well. I do not recommend the trail that heads towards Snow Angels and Shrewsbury ,it’s pretty rough as is the Boiling Springs trail that goes right at the Smoking Tree. Any water bars …
