The higher elevations are definately rideable but getting there is a bit trickey with ICE and scratchy stuff.A few inches of snow will greatly improve things with a decent base in place.If you decide to ride use caution.

Just got off the phone with Trail Master Clark.The Chittenden Trails are indeed open.They went out and broke it up a bit and are planning on grooming tonight and tomorrow night.There is about 4″ of fresh snow up high with lesser amounts in lower elevations ( like 1″),there are a few washouts etc so use …
